T6i/750D continuously focus in live view / viewfinder
Dec 6, 2016
I want to get the T6i/750D but have read that,
"A significant difference between the T6i and T6s you'll want to keep in mind is that the T6s can focus continuously in live view. If you want to just have the camera find your child's face and focus on it no matter where they move to, you'll fare better with the T6s".
Exactly, what does this mean?
Is the T6s/760D able to find a face and lock focus on it whilst it is moving? Do you need to click on the face or will it do it automatically?
So, can the T6i/750D focus continuously via the viewfinder?

you grabbed a quote from the "Conclusion" section of dpreview's review. The details are in the section on Performance and Autofocus

Yes. Through the viewfinder it (and the 760D/T6s) uses the conventional but very good AI Servo, not the "Face + Tracking" of the live view AF.
