Meghan McCain said goodbye toThe View on Friday after co-hosting the show with Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sara Haines for iv years. McCain, who relocated to Washington D.C. during the pandemic, said that she was leaving because her life was no longer compatible with the job. She announced her plans to go out during a July 1 episode, saying, "This was not an like shooting fish in a barrel decision. McCain'southward farewell episode included appearances from McCain's friend, Arizona's Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema and a taped message from sometime House Speaker Paul Ryan. McCain was as well surprised by an appearance from her mother, Cindy McCain. Cindy shared that her family unit lovingly referred to Meghan as "John McCain in a wearing apparel" when she was growing up.

When McCain announced earlier this summer that she'd be leaving The View, her co-hosts reminisced virtually how her belatedly father, Sen. John McCain, asked them to look out for his daughter.

"On a professional person note, this show has been one of the greatest, nearly exhilarating, wonderful privileges of my unabridged life," McCain said during her final episode.
