Zac Brown Band Pnc Bank Arts Center June 22
Information technology's a quirk of the upcoming concert season that one of the near noteworthy summertime tours coming to area amphitheaters isn't a concert at all.
Chris Rock, noteworthy Oscars presenter, and Kevin Hart are coming to area stages this summer in the Rock Hart: Only Headliners Immune one-act bout.
Dates include July 21 at the Northwell Wellness at Jones Beach Theater, Long Island; July 22 at the Prudential Center in Newark; July 23 at the Madison Square Garden in New York; July 24 at the PNC Banking company Arts Center in Holmdel; and July 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Rock has not commented on receiving the infamous Will Smith slap at the recent Academy Awards, saying from a Boston theater phase that he hasn't processed information technology however. It will be interesting to see if he reflects, or jokes or fumes nearly information technology this summer.
Equally for the area'southward amphitheaters, including the Waterfront Music Pavilion in Camden (formerly the BB&T Pavilion), there are lots concerts coming through, generally of the classic rock, country music and '80s and '90s variety.
Tears for Fears, whose hits include "Shout" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," is touring in support of "The Tipping Signal," the duo's commencement new album in 17 years. Shows include June 24 at the PNC Bank Arts Middle and June 25 at Jones Beach. Special guest is Garbage, which had a number of culling rock hits in the 1990s, including "Merely Happy When Information technology Rains" and "Stupid Girl."
As for land music, the Chicks, formerly the Dixie Chicks, are on bout for the starting time time since 2017. The group is supporting the 2020 anthology "Gaslighter." Patty Griffin opens the show.
The Chicks — Martie Maguire, Emily Strayer and Natalie Maines — are one of land's most provocative groups, so there should be lots of energy. See them July 2 at Jones Beach; July half dozen at the PNC Bank Arts Center; and July eight at the Waterfront Music Pavilion.
I of the more interesting double headliner bills this summer is Chicago touring with Brian Wilson, who has Beach Boys boyfriend travelers Al Jardine and Blondie Chapman backing him upwardly on the Beach Boys classics and more.
The music of the Beach Boys and Chicago has provided the summer soundtrack to a few generations of fans. They have a history together, too. In 1974, Beach Boys members Jardine, Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson, Brian Wilson'due south brothers, sang backing vocals on Chicago's hitting single "Wishing Y'all Were Here."
Later, Chicago and the Embankment Boys went on the "Beachago" tour together in 1975, and they hitting the route again in 1989.
